About the Conference

The AISES National Conference has become the premier event for Indigenous STEM professionals and students, attracting over 2,000 members and attendees from the U.S. and Canada, and as far away as Alaska and Hawaii.

The annual AISES National Conference is a one-of-a-kind, three-day event focusing on educational, professional and workforce development! Attendees include Native high school and college students, educators, professionals, tribal nations and tribal enterprises, universities, corporations, and government agencies.

The National Conference works towards achieving the AISES mission by providing students and professionals access to career pathways, professional and leadership development, research, and networking that also meaningfully incorporates Native culture into this signature event.

AISES National Conference Goes Virtual

The 2020 AISES National Conference was planned to take place in Spokane, WA. However, at this time, it is impossible to predict where Washington might be in their phased re-opening in October to allow AISES to practically and safely host the National Conference. After discussions with the Spokane Convention Center and hotels, it was determined that the best course of action at this time would be to transition to a 100% virtual conference and bring the event to Spokane for our traditional in-person event during the fall of 2023.

AISES is pleased to bring all-new virtual format to the 2020 National Conference. The virtual conference platform will include most of the traditional in-person activities through the virtual platform including networking suites, an opening ceremony, sessions for all tracks, research presentations, Indian Country’s largest College and Career Fair, and so much more.
